Popular Idol Announces Contract Termination, “Failing” Top Agency Left With Virtually 1 Active Artist
On March 31, it was announced that Kwon Eunbi would not renew with her agency.

In a statement posted on her official Weverse, Woollim Entertainment announced that its exclusive contract with Eunbi had ended and that she would be leaving the agency, promising to support the idol in her future endeavors.

With this announcement, some have begun reflecting on the current status of her former agency.
Outside the “BIG 4” agencies, some have also stood out over the years for the popularity of their artists, including Woollim Entertainment, established in 2003. The agency had notable artists, including Epik High and Nell, under the label before debuting its first boy group, INFINITE.

After merging with SM Culture and Content, the agency debuted LOVELYZ and split to handle SM C&C’s music content business. Over the years, other artists debuted under the agency, but in recent times, Woollim’s activities have been limited as artists have left the agency.
INFINITE and LOVELYZ have left the company entirely, with all but one member of Rocket Punch and Golden Child also leaving.

Currently, Golden Child’s Jangjun is active as a radio DJ (in addition to variety appearances), and though Rocket Punch’s Suyun and Drippin’ members are still active on social media, he is the only artist with an ongoing schedule. Drippin’ have not had a comeback since 2023, while Suyun has not yet made a solo debut.

Fans of idols under the agency have discussed the number of artists departing, seeing it as a sign of Woollim’s “downfall.”
