BLACKPINK Jisoo’s Brother Implicated In Sexual Assault Case Involving Female Streamer

Popular Girl Group Member’s Brother Arrested For Molesting Female Streamer
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced on April 16 that they have arrested a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, in the act and are currently investigating him on charges of forced molestation. Mr. A is accused of purchasing a “date ticket” with a female streamer, having a meal and drinks with her the previous day, then taking her to his home and engaging in physical contact without consent. The streamer has claimed that he tried to sexually assault her in addition to forced physical contact.
A “date ticket” is usually a chance to have a meal with a streamer, usually given as a “prize” to people who donate high amounts of money on a live stream. Mr. A allegedly purchased it for ₩3.00 million KRW (about $2,030 USD) The streamer claimed that Mr. A promised he would not try anything towards her while inviting her to his house. It was also alleged that he drove while drunk after the dinner. It was said that the police knocked on the door and Mr. A opened it.
“He promised that he would not have any sexual contact with me. I already rejected him several times, but he forced physical contact and also tried to sexually assault me.”
Allegations that the female idol involved is none other than BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo has gone viral. Korean news site Channel A used a thumbnail of Jisoo and her brother.
Although the picture was blurred, it was a picture familiar to many fans.
