Ailee failed her first attempt at in vitro fertilization (IVF treatment).
On the 18th, a video titled “They say it’s not easy to succeed on the first embryo transfer” was posted on YouTube.
Ailee, who revealed she was undergoing IVF treatment, went in for an embryo transfer. Her husband Choi Si Hoon comforted her, saying, “Don’t put pressure on yourself… It’s usually hard to succeed on the first try. Don’t expect to succeed right away.”
Upon arriving at the hospital, the two waited anxiously. After the transfer, Ailee appeared somewhat exhausted as she shared how painful it had been. She smiled with excitement while handing over the embryo ultrasound image. She explained, “It was so amazing to see it for the first time.”
After some time had passed, they returned to the hospital for the transfer results. Meeting with the doctor, Ailee reacted with low expectations, saying, “It was too clear that (the test) showed just one line.” She remained calm even after hearing the result was negative.
Later, Choi Si Hoon prepared a wedding anniversary gift for Ailee, who had gone through difficulties with the IVF treatment. Ailee requested a bag. Choi Si Hoon brought home a luxury bag from Hermès, and after confirming the ₩15.0 million KRW (about $10,200 USD) price tag, Ailee broke into a big smile.
