SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan And Billlie’s Moon Sua Mourn The Passing Of ASTRO’s Moonbin
Three years have passed since Moonbin, a member of the group ASTRO, passed away, and his family and colleagues continue to remember him in their own heartfelt ways. The lingering sense of longing still deeply touches many hearts.
The first to share memories was his younger sister, Billlie‘s Moon Sua, who expressed her sincere feelings toward her older brother through a song. On the 19th, Moon Sua posted on her social media, “Big brother, it’s been a while. Are you curious about what song I’ve brought this time?” She wrote a lengthy message, explaining, “After some thought, I wanted to choose a song that also holds memories of you,” and shared Christopher’s “Moments.”
She said, “You liked this song, right? The lyrics are so beautiful. It felt like the words I wanted to say exactly,” showing her deep affection. She added, “The weather has gotten much warmer. I’m preparing hard for a comeback. It’s my first full album. When we meet, please compliment me. I miss you so much and love you,” bringing tears to many who read it.
SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, a close friend, also paid tribute to Moonbin on stage. At the Dokyeom x Seungkwan concert held at Incheon Inspire Arena, Seungkwan performed his self-composed song “Dandelion” as a solo stage. The song is known to have been created in memory of Moonbin.
“even if i gathered all the light in the world
it still couldn't replace you
but imagining you somewhere smiling
i'm okay”i think i finally understand now
the word called love
even if only in a dream
i want to tell you
that you were love”you are so loved, moonbin 🌙🤍 pic.twitter.com/pB9f7lLZNZ

After finishing the song, Seungkwan shed tears. He said, “This is a song I wrote for Bin, whom I loved dearly,” and added, “Coincidentally, today is Bin’s anniversary. Three years have already passed. I wanted to make sure everyone remembers him once more.” He also expressed, “I believe he’s watching over me well,” moving the audience deeply.
Moonbin tragically passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 25. With his bright smile, warm personality, and radiant presence on stage, he remains vividly in many people’s hearts.
