Kwon Eunbi Signs With RBW After Leaving Woollim Entertainment
Singer Kwon Eunbi, who transformed from a member of the girl group IZ*ONE into the “Waterbomb Goddess,” is heading to RBW.
On the 22nd, RBW announced, “We have signed an exclusive contract with Kwon Eunbi,” adding, “Kwon Eunbi is a solo artist who has proven her unique presence on stage with outstanding vocals and performance skills. We are delighted to accompany her on her musical journey. We will provide full support to help her further expand her musical talents. We ask for your continued interest and support for Kwon Eunbi’s new journey across music and various other fields.”
RBW is home to girl group MAMAMOO and band ONEWE, and also owns labels such as DSP Media and WM Entertainment under its umbrella. The company is led by CEO Kim Jin Woo and composer Kim Do Hoon.
Previously, Kwon Eunbi decided not to renew her contract with her former agency Woollim Entertainment and sought a new agency. Galaxy Corporation was considered a likely new home. Until recently, the two sides had positive discussions about an exclusive contract amid Galaxy Corporation’s active courting, but disagreements arose during final negotiations, ultimately leading to a breakdown.
Kwon Eunbi debuted in 2014 and rose to public attention in 2018 when she was selected as a member of IZ*ONE through Mnet’s audition program Produce 48. After IZ*ONE’s activities ended, she transitioned to a solo career, releasing numerous songs including “Door,” “Glitch,” “Underwater,” “The Flash,” and “Hello Stranger.”
She especially stood out at the summer music festival Waterbomb, earning the nickname “Waterbomb Goddess” for her glamorous figure and captivating stage presence, solidifying her position.
