Members of the South Korean project group QQQ have found themselves at the center of debate after photos from a recent Japan fansign event circulated online.

The three-member group — a sub-unit of OnlyOneOf consisting of KB, Jisung, and Nine — debuted in February 2026 with their mini album QtoresQ.

At the Japan event, KB and Jisung appeared in dresses, long-hair wigs, and makeup, photos of which quickly spread across social media.

The backlash came primarily from Korean fans. One post, racking up over 80,000 views, drew attention in particular.

Ugh, I seriously hate this so much… Why do they have to go and do something like that? What kind of… image are they trying to have? F*ck

The reaction is somewhat surprising given OnlyOneOf’s history. The group built much of their fanbase on gender-fluid and queer-coded concepts, so cross-dressing isn’t entirely brand new territory for them.

International fans pushed back against the criticism, defending the members’ styling choices and calling out the responses as rooted in bias.

What are your thoughts? Do you think the backlash is fair, or does it conflict with the group’s established identity? Let us know in the comment section of our social media post.
