HYBE Boy Group’s Latest TikTok Slammed With Scathing Criticism
HYBE rookie boy group CORTIS is in hot water after a TikTok they posted for their new single “REDRED” drew backlash online.
Three members — James, Martin, and Keonho — posted a TikTok featuring the song’s choreography, captioning it “easy exercise for weight loss.”

The choreography itself had been gaining traction online for its catchy moves, going somewhat viral, but the framing didn’t land well.
Fans were quick to call it out, but what really fuelled the backlash was what happened with IVE earlier this year.

The girl group previously found themselves in a controversy after posting a TikTok with a caption referencing burning off calories from Lunar New Year food, which came with on-screen text counting down “-5kcal” with each lyric. The timing was considered tone-deaf, especially given existing concerns about member Liz‘s weight loss at the time. The backlash IVE received was significant.
