4 Disappointing K-Dramas That Viewers Dropped In April
When an exciting, new show is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists. Unfortunately, some series fell flat for viewers in April 2026.
1. Perfect Crown
This Disney+ series takes place in an alternate universe Korea, where Korea has a monarchy. This romantic drama follows a contract marriage between a wealthy but disrespected chaebol CEO and a prince who has no real power.

Even the star-studded cast couldn’t keep some viewers tuned in. Some dropped it because they felt it was poorly written.

2. Sold Out To You
This Netflix romantic comedy follows a workaholic farmer/cosmetics CEO, whose life gets upended when a famous home shopping host–who suffers from severe insomnia–arrives in his peaceful village. She starts sticking her nose into his business, trying to get the white flower mushrooms he grows. Cue lots of bickering, but also healing, in his cozy romance.

For one viewer, the product placement and “far-fetched” plot were just too much.

3. Climax
This thriller-drama follows an ambitious couple–a prosecutor and a former actress–who are determined to claw their way to the top of society. How far will they go for wealth, prestige, and power?

This viewer dropped the series because its characters were “awful people” they couldn’t get invested in.

4. Boyfriend On Demand
BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo and Seo In Guk star in this highly anticipated Netflix series about a burnt-out webtoon producer who subscribes to a virtual reality dating service. Through this service, she gets to experience customized romances with men who don’t exist in the real world. Things get complicated when the lines between her digital dating and real-life job begin to blur.

For this viewer, the show was just too boring to stick with, even though the male and female leads had good chemistry.
