BLACKPINK‘s Jennie is facing backlash after fans accused her team of subtly crediting her as the main artist on Tame Impala‘s song “Dracula.”

Jennie joined a remix of Kevin Parker (Tame Impala’s real name)’s “Dracula,” released months after the original single dropped ahead of his album DEADBEAT. The remix took off on TikTok, giving the song a second viral moment and even landing Jennie an AMA nomination.

That’s where things got messy.

In the AMA nomination announcement, the song was listed under Jennie’s name, with “Tame Impala” in brackets beside it, positioning Kevin Parker as the featured artist on his own track.

Jennie’s company Odd Atelier had also previously referred to the Dracula remix releases as “with Tame Impala” in a separate post.

That post also mentioned an instrumental version of the remix, which fans were quick to point out is entirely Kevin Parker’s work, making Jennie’s involvement there nonexistent.

These moves have been slammed as “shameless” and sparked huge backlash among netizens on X (formerly Twitter), as well as on Reddit.
