Girl Group Member Confesses To Constantly Drinking To The Point Of Affecting Her Work

A female idol confessed, “I drank alcohol every day out of a sense of compensation,” shocking viewers.

On the SBS show Uh, But Like, Seriously, which aired on the 4th, I.O.I‘s Kim Sejeong revealed her habit of ending each day with a drink.

When asked, “Who likes alcohol the most?” she laughed and said, “I really like drinking.” She added, “I’m not the type to binge drink, but at the end of the day, I tell myself, ‘I worked hard today,’ and have a glass,” explaining she usually drinks about two cans of beer.

She candidly admitted, “But then one drink leads to another. I definitely start with two beers, but then I feel it’s not enough and end up drinking whiskey.”

When Lee Sang Min said, “There are people who find drinking to be their pleasure,” Kim Sejeong revealed, “My sense of compensation for myself is so strong that no matter how hard practice is, I always had at least one drink before going to sleep.”

However, this habit eventually took a toll on her body. Kim Sejeong said, “I practice every day these days. (Drinking after every practice) made my brain stop functioning properly. It really didn’t work out. For the sake of practicing, I’m currently trying to quit drinking.”

At that moment, Jeon Somi mentioned, “We had drinks yesterday,” which made Kim Sejeong flustered as she replied, “I just had one beer at home and went to bed,” eliciting laughter.

Lee Sang Min added, “I heard Sejeong really likes drinking so much that she held it in and endured not going to the bathroom during the drinking session because she was worried it would end.”

Kim Sejeong agreed and explained, “I like drinking and having honest conversations with the members. Those moments don’t come often, so that time is very precious.”

She continued, “As it got late, I was scared that if I got up to go to the bathroom, they’d say, ‘Let’s start wrapping up.’ So I said, ‘I really want to go to the bathroom now, but can we not leave?’ and quickly went. It was just a few meters away, but I was back in about five seconds,” causing more laughter.

Finally, Kim Sejeong joked, “Alcohol is really bad. Please put that in the subtitles,” drawing laughs.
