While many fans have shared positive anecdotes from BTS’s ARIRANG concerts, some are less than pleased with their merch experience at Estadio GNP Seguros. What should have been an orderly opportunity for fans to purchase official merchandise turned into a scene of frustration and apparent exploitation.

Videos have been circulating on social media of individuals without visible identification badges or uniforms methodically loading large plastic bags and sacks full of items from the official merch tents. Fans reported that purchase limits, already tightened from one of each product to just a single item per person, were being bypassed by these individuals who appeared to be clearing out stock in bulk to resell at higher prices.

ARMYs speculated that scalpers had infiltrated the operation with inside help, and some claimed that ARMYs on-site had been “threatened”.

Some ARMYs are now calling on BTS’s agency, HYBE, to take action, while others claim that “corruption” isn’t something the agency can tackle on its own.

I’m so sorry for ARMY Mexico. The level of corruption and shady schemes going on is insane—and this is at a local level. Like, what exactly is HYBE supposed to do about that? These people were hired to provide a service and are favoring resellers for money. I’m 100% sure they’re not authorized to be doing that…
