On May 4, the 2026 Met Gala took place, with several K-Pop idols in attendance.

After the event ended, multiple after-parties took place, with many surprised to see Lisa and Ningning in close proximity. The two attended alongside aespa’s Karina, sparking much excitement.

The two idols were spotted dancing together at one after party, which also became a hot topic.

However, after the event, details sparked mixed reactions online.

The party was hosted at The Box, a venue known for having risqué and outside of the box performances including burlesque and drag shows.

Because images alleged to be from the afterparty included more “exposure” than expected, some took to saying the event included a “striptease,” with criticism and a trending post following. In mainland China, celebrities are subject to certain rules, including those surrounding their activities and attendance at events.

Previously, celebrities attending Lisa’s Crazy Horse performance faced banning, and in this circumstance, some have called for Lisa and Ningning to suffer the same fate. On the other hand, it is noted that no sort of nude performance was included in the description of the event hosted by Kate Moss and Teyana Taylor, and that calls for banning were an extreme and unnecessary reaction.
