On September 9, 2025, it was reported that a body was found in an impounded vehicle in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a report of a foul odor coming from an impounded car that had been at the property for a couple of days and discovered the body, which had been placed inside a bag.

The car was found to be a Tesla registered to d4vd, a singer-songwriter known for his viral hits and popular amongst K-Pop idols. He also visited the country, performing on a music show and busking.

Investigations found that the body found was that of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a 14-year-old who went missing in 2025 and was allegedly involved in a romantic relationship with D4vd.

On April 20th, d4vd was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, child sexual abuse, and mutilation of human remains. Though the arrest was only made recently, distancing and criticism of the star began as soon as Hernandez was discovered in 2025.

In March 2026, RIIZE’s Sungchan shared a playlist of songs he listened to during the day. Of the songs, d4vd’s ‘Here With Me” was listed.

Though he shared the playlist at the end of March, it resurfaced only now as some fans removed the song when posting about it.

As a result, many have criticized Sungchan considering that d4vd was already under massive scrutiny before his arrest.

At the same time, some have expressed that Sungchan was not necessarily aware of the investigation and just added a popular song to his playlist.
