Recently, CORTIS members James, Keonho, and Seonghyeon appeared in a video where they went to work at Olive Young.

A clip had been going viral from the video showing the members working, including James getting the layout of the items wrong after doing it, and the other two members opening the boxes and laying out the products before punching the boxes to collapse them.

While the original tweet that was criticizing the members was deleted, the quotes shared hit back at the members’ personalities. Not only did they share that if it were a female idol, there would be huge controversy, but also how difficult they were making the workers’ lives just for their content, when this is how they earn money.

If this had been female idols, even though they’re the same young age, people would already be calling them clueless and a public nuisance. People would be judging every little thing they do, dragging up old behavior and going ‘actually this action meant this and that,’ psychoanalyzing everything and saying ‘I knew they were like this,’ turning it into a whole personality debate.
There’d be like 50 obnoxious Shorts videos titled ‘The behavior of XX from XX group causing controversy…’
Men have it like a trillion times easier in society. People always try to give reasons for men’s behavior, treat it like it’s no big deal, and go out of their way to empathize with and understand them.

But honestly when I watched that, it wasn’t funny at all to me, it was serious.
Because in Australia, there are actually tons of guys around that age who act exactly like that.

What I don’t understand as a viewer is… if you go on a show like this, wouldn’t it be better to show yourself working hard and being competent? That would improve your image too.
So why go to someone else’s workplace, cause chaos, and do a terrible job on purpose while filming?
I genuinely don’t get why they’d film themselves creating a bad image like that.

Are those two okay in the head or something?
Unless they’re insane, who acts like that while organizing products in a store?
I kinda knew their concept was supposed to be “free-spirited,” but still, even if they’re young, it really feels like the company never taught them how to behave.
At least they’re high-school age, right?
I’ve seriously never seen kids act like that before.

I’m seriously not exaggerating or hating for no reason, I think this is just the average level of men, and honestly, they deserve to get called out more for it.
While they’re doing their job like that, they’re literally wasting other people’s time and resources too. They’re like parasites lol.
The funniest part is that they’re probably still getting paid for acting like that.

Many Korean netizens shared their thoughts.
