Son Jun Ho, an actor who made a special appearance in hit K-Drama Perfect Crown, confessed that he was shocked by IU’s surprising eating habit.
The actor couple Son Jun Ho and Kim So Hyun recently appeared as guests on SBS Love FM’s Yoo Min Sang’s Hungry Radio.
Son Jun Ho and Kim So Hyun are currently starring as King Hee Jong and Queen Ui Hyeon, the parents of Byun Woo Seok’s character, in the ongoing MBC Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown. The couple, who are married in real life, also portray a married couple in the drama.
Son Jun Ho said, “IU sat next to me while getting her makeup done. I was so happy I said, ‘Hello, I’m a fan,’ and she replied, ‘Yes~.’ I wondered why she seemed so shy around me,” causing laughter.
He continued, “But when it was meal time, it seemed like IU wasn’t eating. She had some kimbap and since she was sitting right next to me getting her makeup done, I couldn’t help but notice. I wasn’t deliberately watching. She was nibbling on it for over 30 minutes. She’s very slender and petite in person, so I thought, ‘She eats more than I expected.’ When she stood up and left, she just said ‘Good work,’ and walked out but the kimbap was still there. She had been chewing one piece of kimbap for 30 minutes. She just kept chewing it,” he recalled, expressing amazement.
IU, known as one of the top light eaters in the entertainment world, also revealed on her close friend Yoo In Na’s show Yoo In Radio that “Today, I ate an apple and blueberries,” showing her characteristic light eating habits.
Yoo In Na asked, “What kind of bird food did you eat? Did you peck it? Is pecking like that okay?” IU, who usually maintains a weight of 44kg, added, “That’s probably why my stomach can make some noises.”
