According to reports by SCMP and Toutiao News, Zhou Chuna has had over 100 procedures totaling 4 million yuan ($588,689 USD), reaching a point where doctors warned her and her parents that another surgery could prove fatal. She has since dropped out of school while continuing to undergo procedures, with numerous warnings given by doctors due to the number of surgeries she had received. A doctor at a Shanghai medical clinic has reported to SCMP that they will no longer perform surgeries on Zhou Chuna as further procedures could “ruin” her face or cause permanent side effects.
