A new Running Man PD has been selected as the successor to the previous PD Kang Hyun Seon.
On the 26th, SBS told TV Daily, “Kim Solmaro, who co-directed Whenever Possible with PD Choi Bo Pil, has been chosen as the new PD for Running Man.”
PD Kim demonstrated his abilities by directing various shows with different concepts, including SBS’s All The Butlers, The Fan, People’s Intervention Trial, and Whenever Possible. He recently worked with Yoo Jae Suk, the central figure of Running Man, through Whenever Possible.
On the episode of Running Man aired on the 24th, Yoo Jae Suk announced, “Today is PD Kang Hyun Seon’s last day. She is leaving for childbirth,” directly informing viewers of PD Kang’s departure.
Meanwhile, Running Man surpassed 800 episodes on the 26th of last month, becoming SBS’s flagship long-running variety show.
