Following their third concert in Las Vegas, RM went live on Weverse, where he discussed several topics. The idol also gave details about the creation of Arirang, including influences and behind-the-scenes production.

RM also talked about the thought and care that went into the album due to the circumstances the group were in prior to its release.

BTS serving out their mandatory military enlistment began with Jin in December 2022, and ended with Suga’s discharge in June 2025. During that time, the members not enlisted worked on solo activities as fans awaited the return of all the members.

However, the group’s thoughts about their comeback were present throughout their service, something RM gave a bit more insight to during this live. According to RM, the members gathered after Jin was discharged, a time when all the members mental state was not good.

RM said that Jungkook in particular was going through a really difficult time and cried, while the older members discussed needing to work hard to hold the team together.

Some felt that RM should not have spoken about Jungkook’s time in the army at all, and instead let the idol decide what he wanted shared himself.

Among the BTS members, there are especially two who talk a lot about Jungkook’s military days.
Jungkook himself said he doesn’t want to talk about his military experience, but even now those two are still the only ones talking about Jungkook’s time in the military.

On the other hand, fans felt that the story was only meant to show that the group was important to the members, and praised their bond.
