K-Pop Is Dominating Billboard’s World Albums Chart, Here’s All The Groups On It

7 of the TOP 15 world albums are K-Pop!

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen some major chart achievements by K-Pop artists. While BLACKPINK and BTS broke some major records, other K-Pop artists are joining the ranks and have absolutely killed it on Billboard’s World Albums chart!

Starting off with the kings, this week marks the 5th week for BTS’s Love Yourself: Tear album and the 40th week for their Love Yourself: Her EP to be on the chart. The two albums are sitting at #2 and #3 respectively.

This week also marks the fifth week for “FAKE LOVE” to be on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It’s currently at #65. Additionally, BTS’s latest album and EP are on the Billboard 200 chart.

On the other hand, BLACKPINK has proven themselves to be absolute queens. The four girls snagged the #1 spot with their Square Up EP. The idols also managed to grab 40th place on the Billboard 200 chart.

The record-smashing girl group has also maintained their spot on the Hot 100 and is #55 on the list!

Then we have Taeyeon. Her music never disappoints with her music, and it seems that even with a completely new sound for the singer, she’s still coming out on top. She smashed her way to spot #4 with her Something New EP.

SHINee also made their mark with their continuous and lovely story. Their Story of Light Ep. 2 mini-album ranks at #7, marking its second week on the chart.

The group also just released the third installment of the story so it’s only a matter of time before that one makes the charts too!

While BTS already impressed with their latest releases, the group charted once again with an older repackaged album. Despite being released in 2017, You Never Walk Alone charted at #12.

But those aren’t the only groups to make the Billboard World Album chart. BTOB had a very successful release of This Is Us. The album snagged spot #15, proving once and for all that K-Pop is a serious force to be reckoned with!
