Fuse TV names G-Dragon x Taeyang and CL x Dara in “Best Bromance” and “Best Female Friendship”

In a recent listing posts by Fuse TV, the popular music and television channel website named G-Dragon x Taeyang and CL x Dara in their “Best Bromance” and “Best Female Friendship” lists.

On “Galentine’s Day,” an unofficial holiday celebrated the day before Valentine’s as female friends come together to commemorate their friendship, Fuse TV published a list titled “18 Female Friendships in Music,” writing, “The industry often pits women against each other, but here are 18 pairs of musician BFFs who understand the importance of solidarity!”

As members  of 2NE1, Fuse TV revealed their “soft spot for 2NE1 members CL and Dara.” The writer further proceeds to explain, revealing, “When the group was in Japan during the 9.0-magnitude, Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011, Dara quickly called her pal and group leader. Even as the building was shaking, CL came to get her, walking down 34 flights together.”

In a following list posted on February 14th, the website lists “Music’s 22 Greatest Bromances,” which featured friendships between Jay Z and Kanye West, Eminem and Dr. Dre, Justin Bieber and Drake, and many more, including our very own BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon and Taeyang.

Their friendship is not unknown in K-pop, having grown up together as YG Entertainment trainees in the hopes of debuting. In fact, the duo had nearly debuted as a two-man team(GDYB) before plans were scrapped and BIGBANG was created instead. With 13 years of friendship under their belt, it’s not surprising that the two have continued to stay close even throughout the group’s world tours. The two recently released their collaboration single “Good Boy,” which became an instant hit.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG is eagerly working on their comeback album after a three years since the last one, while CL is working hard on her upcoming U.S solo debut.
