BTS Achieves 3 New Guinness World Records With Their Comeback

Their “Boy With Luv” MV is now a Guinness World Record breaker.

BTS‘s 2019 comeback has earned not one, but three spots, in the Guinness World Records!

BTS’s new album, Map of the Soul: Persona, has done nothing by smash records and make history since it dropped on April 12. In less than a week, the music video for its title track, “Boy With Luv” (feat. Halsey), has racked up over 150 million views on YouTube.

According to Guinness World Records, “Boy With Luv” MV is now the “most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours”. It earned this title by achieving 74,600,000 views from April 12 (its upload date) to 13.

This also makes “Boy With Luv” MV the record holder for “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours” and “most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group”!

BTS also achieve another Guinness World Record back in March for “most used hashtag on Twitter in 24 hours”. #TwitterBestFandom achieved 60,055,339 uses from 16-17 March 2019. The previous record holder was the hashtag #AlDubEBTamangPanahon, with 40,706,392 uses from 24 -25 October 2015.
