Legendary Actress Bae Jong Ok Gives Advice To Her Juniors About Handling Malicious Comments

“Many celebrities are suffering because of malicious comments.”

Legendary actress Bae Jong Ok has been active in the entertainment industry for nearly 35 years. As she’s faced almost every situation in the life of a famous celebrity, she sat down for an interview, where she was asked what advice she had for her juniors.

She chose to speak her piece about malicious comments. She wants her juniors to not read them at all.

She explained that they will learn what the public thinks of them through news reports and your staff, so there is no reason for them to personally read it without a buffer.

I advise my juniors to not read any comments about them on the internet. I tell them not to look at forums either.

Even without reading it yourself, you find out about it through the news reports and your manager and staff.

She expressed her concerns for her many juniors who are suffering from the malicious commenters. She empathized with them but believe that the only way to handle the hateful comments is to ignore it, change yourself, or learn to protect themselves.

Many celebrities are suffering because of malicious comments.

People can’t be free to be themselves once they know that someone dislikes them. They say it’s okay [to be hated] but it’s not like that.

If they don’t want to [restrain] themselves [from reading the comments], they need to change. And if they don’t want to change, they need to learn how to control their heart and mind to be free even after hearing what other people think about them.

She hopes that her juniors will no longer pay attention to the malicious commenters and focus on achieving their own personal goals.

The younger juniors read them but I think they need to restrain themselves. They need to restrain themselves and just focus on reaching their goals.
