BTS Predicted To Make History Yet Again By Reaching #1 On The Billboard 200 Chart With New Album

It shouldn’t surprise anyone…

BTS has become an unstoppable force in the music industry, breaking records left and right and showing the world that they’re a group to be reckoned with. With their comeback still fresh in everyone’s minds and a new album to play on repeat, the 7-member group is sure to make waves yet again!

Industry forecasters anticipate BTS’s new album, Map of the Soul: 7, will once again top the Billboard 200 chart, a feat that they have accomplished three times in the past with Map of the Soul: Persona, Love Yourself: Answer, and Love Yourself: Tear.

The album, released on February 21, is expected to sell 300,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the first week, mostly driven by album sales. The chart rankings are based on multi-metric consumption, which is made up of streaming equivalent albums, track equivalent albums, and traditional album sales.

BTS’s success in sales is remarkable due to the fact that the albums are selling well without the help of concert ticket or album sale redemption offers, or any merchandise & album bundles. What they have done is release the album in four different CD packages, which all include similar products (photo albums, lyric book, stickers, photo cards, etc.) but in slightly different styles depending on the album. This has been a successful strategy for them with their last three chart-topping albums as well.

Experts predict BTS’s topping the chart to happen on Sunday, March 1, so keep an eye out for the news to see if they make their fourth number one!
