1. Me Before You

Jinyoung was spotted with a copy of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes at the airport.

This is a romance novel is about an ordinary girl who begins working for a moody, wheelchair-bound boss and sets out to show him life is still worth living.

2. The Fault In Our Stars

In a 2014 interview, Jinyoung revealed that his motto is a quote from The Fault In Our Stars by John Green: “That’s the thing about pain. It demands to be felt.”

This is a romance novel about two teenagers with cancer who meet at a support group and take on the world together.

3. The Girl on Paper

Jinyoung was reading The Girl on Paper by Guillaume Musso on an episode Real GOT7.

This is a romance novel about a struggling author who somehow meets a character from his books in real life.

This is a historical story set in Afghanistan about a wealthy boy who strikes up an unlikely friendship with the son of his father’s servant.

Another book fans spotted in Jinyoung’s book collection is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

At a fansign in 2016, Jinyoung revealed he read Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami when he was feeling depressed. BTS’s RM and Red Velvet’s Yeri have read this book too.

This is a novel about a Tokyo college student who finds himself drawn to a new woman after the passion between him and his first love is destroyed by the death of their mutual best friend.

9. The Little Prince

In an interview literary magazine Littor, Jinyoung named three books as his all-time favorites. One was The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

This is a classic children’s story about a little boy who travels the universe learning about adult behavior.

10. Human Acts

Another of Jinyoung’s favorite books is Human Acts by Han Kang.

This is a historical story about a young Korean boy who is killed in a violent student uprising, told through the eyes of those he left behind.

11. No Longer Human

The final read Jinyoung named as one of the books of his life is No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai.

This is a novel about a man who feels he’s lost his humanity when he finds himself caught between traditional Japanese aristocratic values and new Western ideas.
