BTS’s V Is Hoping To Release His 1st Mixtape This Year

He revealed his 2020 music goals.

Suga might not be the only BTS member to release a mixtape this year!

On June 9, went live with ARMY on BTS’s YouTube channel, BangtanTV, to chat and listen to music in monochrome. During the broadcast, he revealed that he is working on new music behind the scenes.

I’ve been working on a lot of songs, really focusing on working on music. And topping it off with a glass at the end. That’s what I’ve been up to.

“After Suga’s mixtape came out, we don’t know who’s going to be next,” he said. “I’m going to try to have it out by the end of this year.”

V isn’t sure how many songs will make it into his mixtape, since he only wants to include the best ones for ARMY, but he has written about eight so far. He has also worked on music for BTS.

At this point, I’m not sure how many songs will be included in the mixtape. At this point, I think there are about eight tracks. I wrote about eight songs. Now I’m not sure which ones will make it on the mixtape. I’m thinking about it. Giving it lots of thought. I really want to show only the best songs to ARMY. So I’m really thinking hard while working on the mixtape.

Fans are excited about V’s announcement, but he is urging them not to get too excited. Even though he is planning a 2020 release, it might not happen.

Now, it may not happen. My goal is by the end of this year. I’d like to release it by the end of this year. Because it’s my first mixtape. [. . .] I also wrote BTS songs. Maybe one track or two. It may not happen, so don’t be looking forward to it.
