BIGBANG hits 4 million subscribers on YouTube
Congratulations to BIGBANG who recently reached the 4 million subscriber milestone on YouTube!
This achievement is a significant milestone since many entertainment agencies promote their artists under a single YouTube channel rather than individual channels for each artist and group.
To put their success in perspective, SM Entertainment is the only K-Pop group-based YouTube channel that surpasses BIGBANG with 6.6 million subscribers while boasting a long list of powerhouse groups including TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, and most recently, Red Velvet.
YG Entertainment‘s channel has just over a million subscribers while JYP Entertainment, which houses names such as 2PM, miss A, and GOT7, and Starship Entertainment, home to SISTAR, Boyfriend, MONSTA X, and UNIQ, have 1.2 million and 965 thousand subscribers, respectively.
Meanwhile, another large K-Pop agency, Cube Entertainment, has separate channels for its artists, with 4Minute boasting just over a million and BEAST, just under a million subscribers.
BIGBANG’s success on YouTube signifies their large international fan base and it is possible that more fans, old and new, have subscribed to the channel as the group continues to release music videos, special clips, and exclusive content as BIGBANG continues their 4 month-long promotion with the MADE series.
