Japanese idol shocked by Korean fans calling him “Oppa”

Japanese idol Koichi Domoto was left in utter shock during a meeting with his Korean fans.

A GIF of Koichi Domoto of Kinki Kids recently went viral due to the singer’s shocked and dismayed expression while meeting with his Korean fans. In the clip, he can be seen in his stage outfit with his microphone and earpiece. While listening to the fans in attendance, he became shocked as his Korean fans called him “Oppa.”

The GIF, which was originally posted on the Korean community board site Instiz, brought laughter to fans who saw the post, with many netizens commenting that his reaction was cute.

Apparently, the Korean word “oppa” meaning “older brother (from a girl to a guy),” is similar in pronunciation to the Japanese word “おっぱい” meaning “breast.”
