Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won in talks for upcoming drama “Yongpalyi”
Kim Tae Hee garnered interest after reports of her casting offer for upcoming drama Yongpalyi, alongside actor Joo Won were confirmed.
On May 22nd, word got out that Kim Tae Hee and Joo Won received casting offers to play the lead roles in upcoming drama Yongpalyi which is due to be aired on SBS.
The news, however, were downplayed as both of the two’s respective agencies stated that nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Lua Entertainment, Kim Tae Hee’s management agency, stated that, “We received an offer and is reviewing it positively.” If confirmed, Yongplayi will be her first Korean drama project in two years following Jang Ok Jung, Live for Love back in 2013.
Speaking in behalf of Joo Won, Sim Entertainment also acknowledged the casting offer from SBS but stated that they have not yet made any confirmation regarding his participation.
Yongpalyi is a medical drama about a doctor in overwhelming debt due to the struggles of financing his sister’s kidney dialysis. The drama is scheduled in August following Mask.
