PSY and WINNER win awards at 2015 QQ Music Awards

PSY and WINNER recently performed at the 2015 QQ Music Awards that was held in Shenzhen, China on March 25th.

At the 2015 QQ Music Awards, the YG Entertainment artists captivated the audience with Chinese versions of their respective popular tracks. Aside from performing, PSY was awarded the “Most Influential Global Artist Award” while WINNER received “Best Foreign Rookie of the Year Award.”

PSY’s most memorable performance of the evening was the Chinese version of “Father” which he performed alongside world renowned pianist Lang Lang. This track was originally released in 2005 and the lyrics were written to be a letter to a father, written by a son who has grown-up and is giving back to the father who had made many sacrifices for the family. PSY closed off his grand performance with “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman.”

WINNER performed Chinese versions of their tracks “Empty,” “Don’t Flirt,” and “Smile Again.” The audience enjoyed WINNER’s performances as there were continuous applause and praise. The members of WINNER shared in a live interview, “Chinese and Inner Circle fans, thank you,” and “We are currently in the process of working on a new album.”

The 2015 QQ Music Awards is set to air on May 1st to 3rd on CCTV15 and Shenzhen TV.
