The truth behind EXO’s Lay refusing fan gifts will melt your heart
With EXO member Lay‘s birthday coming up, fans around the world are undoubtedly preparing projects and thinking of what to give their favorite idol bias.
Unfortunately, birthday gifts intended solely for Lay will not be accepted and will be turned away.
A netizen revealed the reason behind the artist’s decision, which was shared though a recent post on online community board Instiz on September 18th. The post was titled “At this time, this male idol will refuse birthday presents” and the original poster uploaded a capture of another fan which explains the reason why Lay is refusing gifts.
“We asked through SM multiple times, but due to his [Lay] personal request that he will not take birthday gifts, they said they will not accept gifts. I was preparing a birthday gift so this is really flustering. But since Lay always said he prefers that his fans do something for other people through kind acts, I am thinking of what we can do. There are things already in progress like building a well in third world countries or building public toilets or clothing donations. But we are preparing more things so please wait for more news ^^”, reads the caption above.

EXO’s Lay will be turning 24 years old on October 7th this year.
