Pole Dancing & Affairs: Popular Actor Addresses Dating Rumors Exposed By Alleged Ex-Boyfriend, A Fellow Actor

A male actor has officially addressed rumors surrounding his personal life.

In 2023, Chinese actor Chen Muchi (also known as Luke Chen) found himself in hot water after rumors surfaced that he was living with Chen Bing, a 7-year-younger Chinese singer. The then-26-year-old actor was also revealed to be married.

After he revealed that he had been married but was now divorced, Chen Muchi addressed the rumors surrounding him and Wu Chiyu following the leak of “couple photos” of him and Wu by a mutual friend. Chen stated that he and Wu were only roommates and had never been romantically involved.

Wu disagreed, went live, and claimed they were romantically involved, saying Chen had been the one to shift their friendship to romance by initiating their first kiss and first sexual encounter. Wu also claimed that he only began to question his sexual orientation because of Chen.

Even more surprisingly, Wu claimed that he financially supported his child from a previous relationship and Chen, who did not pay rent, by becoming a pole dancer. With his earnings from pole dancing and small acting roles, Wu said he paid the rent and more, showing his bank statements and promising to provide video proof if necessary.

On March 29, 2026, Chen posted to address these allegations, firmly stating that the pair were never in a relationship but had a close friendship. He also stated that Wu had loaned him money, that the debt was repaid, and that any claims that he relied on others financially were false.

Wu Chuyi recently appeared in a short drama titled “Imperial Sparrow.”
