Over the summer, BL (boy love) series watchers were introduced to the drama Revenged Love. 

Revenged Love tells the story of Wu Suo Wei, a modest man whose wealthy ex-girlfriend continually belittles him. While trying to build himself up, he crosses paths with Chi Cheng, a spoiled heir currently dating his ex, and decides to seduce him as revenge. Zi Yu, a former idol, plays Wu Suo Wei, while actor Tian Xu Ning plays Chi Cheng.

Despite the issues faced by the cast, Revenged Love only grew in popularity the longer it aired, and it is considered the hottest summer drama. The show also suffered unexpected roadblocks, including when it suddenly stopped airing.

The series’ final episode aired on August 12 and showed the characters having a happy ending together, different from how many LGBT series end unhappily.

However, there have been some complaints from fans of the series focused on how the drama ended.

According to many viewers, the final episode lacked a kiss scene which left the story of the main characters feeling some what incomplete.

Other scenes were also cut from the series that were in the source material, including one where Wu Suo Wei brought Chi Cheng to visit his parents grave.

While many were grateful for a happy ending, others felt that the rushed ending took away from the drama.
