Famous Former Boy Group Star Gets Ignored While Handing Out Flyers
A celebrity who onc went viral recently went unnoticed while promoting himself on the street.
Dominic Ho is a Hong Kong singer, actor, dancer, and model who made his debut in the entertainment industry as a member of Bro5. The dance-pop boy group debuted in 2008 and disbanded a few years later. Since then, Ho has acted in dozens of films and TV series, including the erotic films The Gigolo and The Gigolo 2.
The now 37-year-old star attracted plenty of attention back in 2015 for baring it all in The Gigolo, wherein he played a gigolo-turned-actor. Few people, however, seemed to recognize Ho recently as he handed out flyers to promote his new single.
On Instagram, Ho posted a video of himself wearing a headset mic and a purple sash while approaching passersby. Some acted as if Ho were invisible, ignoring him as he tried to hand out flyers. Ho had hung a banner with his photo behind him, on a fence, to show people who he was and what he was promoting, but most people still most walked away without a backward glance.
Although Ho didn’t have much luck in person, his video clips reportedly went viral online, with fans offering support, suggestions, and teasing. Some reportedly encouraged him to take The Gigolo approach, playfully suggesting that Hi should “go half-naked.” To this, he replied, “I already unbuttoned the top button on my collar.”
