Elderly Man Gives A Bizarre Excuse For Stalking A Woman In Her 20s
A 76-year-old man has been arrested for stalking a woman who is approximately fifty years his junior. He began showing up at her workplace to give her unwanted attention.

The unidentified man allegedly began to stalk a woman in her 20s in May, visiting the store where she worked to stare at her. According to police, this happened multiple times between May 20 and the 24, prompting the woman to file a complaint. Police gave the man a warning, which he ignored.

This led to his arrest in Tateyama, a city located in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture, on suspicion of violating the country’s Stalking Prevention Act. When questioned, the alleged stalker told police that he fell in love with the woman at first sight because she reminded him of his deceased wife.
Her eyes resemble those of my deceased wife, so I fell in love at first sight and wanted to become friends with her.
