Idol Offers Unexpected Explanation After Being Accused Of Poor Attitude During Fansign

A fan expressed her disappointment at her idol’s attitude at a fansign by posting the video evidence online. The idol stepped up after the clip went viral, offering an unexpected explanation.

The idol in question is Qiu Fengze, a Singaporean singer currently actively promoting in Taiwan as a soloist and a member of the idol group W0LF(S).

Qiu Fengze recently held a fansign in Taipei for his album COlOR Free. Afterwards, a video showing his interaction with a fan surfaced online, with the idol allegedly displaying a poor attitude.
The video begins with the fan asking the idol, “Fengze, can you wish me luck in winning the grand prize at my company’s annual dinner?” Instead of responding to the fan, Qiu Fengze turned to his staff and asked, “What time is it now?”
The fan made her request once again, and while Qiu Fengze responded to her this time, he simply said the words, “Annual dinner grand prize.” While the fan was saying thank you to him, he turned to his staff once again to check the time.
The video ends with the fan requesting a pose from Qiu Fengze, which the idol does quickly before moving on to the next person in line.

The fan expressed her disappointment through her post caption.
Qiu Fengze wanted to get off work 🥲 In a conversation of less than 10 seconds, he asked for the time once and looked at the time once. I’m a bit hurt 💔 But I’m still thankful 😢

Sorry. I asked for the time to assess whether I could wait until the end of the event to go to the washroom. I decided that I couldn’t~ 🙏

Aside from commenting on the original post, the idol also made a separate post about the matter.

“I only went to pee once before the fansign started, so I wondered if I should go again before we began. I found out the washroom was far away, so I gave up and decided that I could probably hold it in until the end.
I was mainly afraid of letting everyone wait for too long and holding everyone up, but in the middle of the event, I felt I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I evaluated the situation and thought there was probably about an hour and a half left. I remember my doctor saying that if I held it in, there would be lots of issues later on.
The point is that while I was evaluating the situation, I accidentally looked like I was out of it while interacting with fans. Sorry!! It was not on purpose; I couldn’t multitask at the time.
I learned from yesterday’s experience that, in the future, even if I had a little bit of a feeling that I need to go to the washroom, I would not hesitate to put my hand up and just go.”
