Sara Suzuki was a member of the Japanese idol girl group SKE48 from 2023, when she joined as a kenkyuusei (trainee), to 2025. In January of 2026, Sara announced her intention to join Nü FEEL., a four-member idol girl group that formed in 2025.

On February 12, 2026, Nü FEEL. announced via their X account that Sara had been hospitalized after suffering a cerebral infarction, also known as an ischemic stroke. Cerebral infarctions are serious medical emergencies that result in an area of necrotic tissue in the brain. This can cause physical disability in stroke survivors.

On May 9, Sara released a statement, announcing that she has decided not to join Nü FEEL. as planned. After taking her physical condition and treatment plans into consideration, she decided to step back and focus on healing ahead of her upcoming surgery.

On the same day, Nü FEEL.’s management announced that after extensive discussions, Nu FEEL. will be ending its current lineup, and the current members will all be leaving the group.

Sadly, these aren’t the only idols fans have had to say goodbye to in May.
