Girl Group Suddenly Disbands Just Six Months After Their Debut

A girl group’s career is ending less than a year after it began. The bittersweet announcement was made just five days before the members went their separate ways.

Policy is a Japanese idol girl group that debuted with three members on December 16, 2024, before adding two more to the lineup. On June 2, the group announced their upcoming disbandment on their official website, telling fans that the members felt it had become too difficult to continue their activities as a group.

Nevertheless, Policy’s members collectively thanked their fans for their support and expressed their hope that fans would continue to support the members’ individual careers.

On the day of their disbandment, the members celebrated member Asahina Rin‘s birthday with fans.
