Okinawa Prefectural Police have arrested Haga Kenji, a Japanese television personality, actor, and businessman, on suspicion of sexually assaulting two women last year.

The alleged indecent acts took place at a bar in Okinawa, Japan from 7:05 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. on March 27, 2025. According to police, Haga is suspected of forcibly kissing and touching two women that night: an eatery employee in her thirties and a self-employed woman in her fifties at a bar that does not offer sexual services. The women reported Haga to the police in August of 2025.

Police have not revealed whether or not Haga admitted to the allegations when he was arrested on February 10, but he was reportedly acquainted with both women and had been intoxicated on the night of the alleged assaults.

Haga Kenji was previously arrested with four others on June 30, 2007, for allegedly blackmailing a real estate agent in Osaka, Japan, into forgiving his debt of 400 million yen (approximately $2.5 million USD).
