Girl Group Members Allegedly Caught Trash-Talking In Leaked Chat Messages
Six members of a girl group have received a strict warning from their management in the wake of a recent controversy.

Yi Shyan, Amanda, Ann Drea, Hillary, Khalies, and Salwa are members of KLP48, a Malaysian idol group that splits its members into “generations,” much like its Japanese sister group AKB48. These six idols are part of KLP48’s 1st Generation, who were introduced on July 27, 2024. The 1st Generation currently has 12 active members.
This week, screenshots began circulating online that were reportedly taken from a private group chat. Several KLP48 members and a former JKT48 member, Pucchi, were allegedly in this chat.

In the chat messages, KLP48 members reportedly made inappropriate, critical remarks aimed at their Japanese staff members and Japanese colleagues.

Pucchi, who is now one of the KLP48’s staff members, allegedly scolded the chat members for their behavior, texting, “Please [don’t talk sh*t] about company when we have Japan members and Japan staff.”

So far, KLP48’s management hasn’t confirmed whether the screenshots are legitimate, but the timing of their statement has reportedly led fans to speculate.
