Actor Falsely Accuses Another Actor Of Cheating On His Wife With His Girlfriend
An actor who accused a fellow star of cheating on his wife has apologized for the accusation.
Chinese actor Liu Yi Chang, star of the upcoming 2025 romance series Starlight to You, recently accused Demon Girl actor Hong Yao of asking a woman out on a date. Hong Yao is married to actress Wu Jin Yan, who is best known for her role in the 2018 series Story of Yanxi Palace. The couple wed in the fall of 2024.
It all started when Liu posted on Weibo, “Mr. Hong, you should be honest now that you are married. Don’t date random people.” Context for the post was not provided, but netizens soon began to speculate that the random person in question was Liu’s girlfriend, actress Daisy Li (also known as Li Mu Chen).
After the rumors gained traction, Daisy Li spoke up to clear up the misunderstanding. She did not meet Hong for a date, but rather for a group event: another actor’s birthday party.
After the recording of a variety show on the evening of 31 March, around 2 am, Mr. Hong Yao sent me a message asking if I wanted to get together for Mr. Zhang Dan Feng‘s birthday, and he told me that there were other people at the scene, so I went. Daisy Li also explained that Liu had written his accusation without knowing the full story. Liu deleted his post after the misunderstanding was cleared up and apologized to Hong.
