“Married?” On-Screen BL Couple Seemingly Reveal Real-Life Relationship
Last year, one of the most-discussed series released was Desire (also known as Desire The Series).
The series took place in the Omegaverse, an alternative reality also known as A/B/O in fanfiction. In Omegaverse works, in addition to biological sex traits, a secondary sex trait is assigned. These secondary sex traits — Alpha, Beta, and Omega — differ in their reproductive and behavioral attributes, including reproductive cycles (“heats” and “ruts”) and scent (pheromones).
The series followed four characters: an alpha, an omega, and a person of secret fourth distinction, enigma, and how their traits affected their relationships.
The main couple of the series, Hua Yong and Sheng Shao You, played by Eliot Huang (Huang Xing) and Kipuka Qui (Qiu Dingjie), quickly became popular with viewers and continued sharing content together after the show ended.
The two have reportedly known each other for eight years and live together with a dog named Huasheng, which is also the name of their on-screen couple’s child. It was also alleged that Eliot himself picked out Kipuka to play his on-screen partner.
These details, along with several others, including Eliot having a K tattoo, have led some to believe the pair are in a relationship.
On January 22, a post by Kipuka only further fueled suspicions with new evidence.
In a photo set shared on Instagram, Kipuka posted photos of himself at the zoo, including one showing a hand wearing a matching ring touching his hand.

The mystery was clarified by a post made by Eliot, who showed his perspective of the moment.

The photo made its way to other platforms, where many saw it as some sort of announcement, questioning if they were just a couple rings or marked a larger distinction.
