Boy Group With A “Pet” Concept Will Disband Soon

They’re going their separate ways.

After two years together, an idol boy group will be disbanding. The announcement comes ahead of their final performance this month.

Papipupet is a Japanese boy group that debuted in June 2023 with a cheerful pet concept. Each one of the members–Yutopi, Ikeharu, Misaki Hinata, Chihiro., Koyo, Momose Taku, Haru, Yutochi, and Chama–has a corresponding pet to represent them, as well as a colored heart emoji for social media.

Since making their disbandment announcement in January, Papipupet has not posted anything new on their group TikTok, where they previously posted content for fans. Instead, the members have been keeping fans up to date on their individual social media accounts while preparing for their final live performance.
