Dating? Newly Debuted Idol Addresses “Inappropriate” Photos With Rumored Boyfriend
A female idol and her agency are addressing two photos that have stirred up speculation about her love life.
Nanase is a member of ParaLulu, a 7-member Japanese girl group that debuted in February 2026. On March 12, the X account @deathdolnote, a Japan-based account that focuses on “exposing” celebrities’ dating lives and/or criminal behavior, shared photos of Nanase posing with a man in a photobooth.

In one of the photos, Nanase and the man are both sticking up their middle fingers.

Nanase personally addressed the photos on her X account, explaining that the photos were taken years ago. The man in the photos is her gay friend, who goes by @pirillllllls on X.

一緒に映っている男性は同性愛者の方@pirillllllls でありすごく仲の良い友達です。不適切なポーズをしてしまったことは大変申し訳ございません。

This was taken about 3–4 years ago.
(With a photo booth machine that no longer exists.)
The man appearing with me is a gay friend, @pirillllllls, and he is a very close friend of mine.
I sincerely apologize for making an inappropriate pose in the photo.
I want to continue approaching my idol activities sincerely and doing my best from here on.— Nanase
ParaLuLu also posted a statement about the matter on their official X account, stating that Nanase had taken the photos in high school, and that she and the man in the photos aren’t in a romantic relationship.
