Popular Group Face Sexual Assault Allegations And More — Member Departs Amid Accusations

As TikTok grew more popular with users and became a source of revenue for some, collectives would form. These collectives would be made up of several popular TikTokers who sometimes even began to live with each other to film content, like the Hype House.

In 2021, a collective known as the North Star Boys (NSB) was founded and grew to include eight members, all of whom are Asian-American. The collective transitioned to music in 2023 with their debut album Saturday Nights.

The group has been active since, frequently touring the United States. They have amassed over five million followers on their NSB account and more on their individual ones.
Recently, as the group wrapped up their Stardom tour, several fans and other users came forward with allegations against some of the members.
One individual claimed that they signed an NDA after corresponding with member Kane, claiming that he provided her with alcohol despite her being only 19, under the drinking age in the United States.
@funkyymonkee Replying to @cyd MY NSB EXPERIENCE 😩 #fyp #foryoupage #northstarboys #nsb
Another individual shared that they had information they would like to speak about but shared that they also signed an NDA. In the comments of the TikTok, after a user shared that NDAs usually are rended void when illegal activities take place, the OP questioned if SA (sexual assault) counted.

In a follow up video, the user provided proof of their claims, accusing unnamed members of providing alcohol to those under the legal age and specifically Kane of “taking advantage” of people under the influence.

Amid the allegations and others, Sebastian Moy, one of the group’s founding members announced that he was leaving NSB, claiming to have a “story time” and that his departure didn’t have anything to do with the other members.
@sebastianmoy just fyi it’s not because why you may think or about the boys. i just can’t say much right now
As of writing, the group has not addressed any of the allegations, but appears to have issued a cease and desist to one of the users that posted about their experience.
