Top Girl Group Debuts A New Subunit For Their Sexiest Song Yet

A group best-known for their girl-next-door image recently dropped a new single that’s showing fans a different side of them.

BNK48 (short for Bangkok48) is one of Thailand’s most popular idol girl group. On October 4, the group debuted, SYR3N, a three-member subunit consisting of members Pancake, Hoop, and Popper. SYR3N’s first and only song, “Hip Chain” was released on October 24.

In this catchy song, the members sing in a mix of Thai and English, while flaunting their hip chain accessories in the music video. “Hip Chain” could be considered a siren song that tempts listeners with lyrics such as, “My hip chain, boy I’m gonna make you insane,” “touch my hip, my lip, my chain, my body,” and “just come with me tonight.” 

Everything about “Hip Chain” screams confidence while showing off the members’ beautiful vocals and dance skills. Pancake, Hoop, and Popper were rewarded with this special subunit and song for placing in the Top 7 spots (Kami 7) during the BNK48 & CGM48 Senbatsu General Election 2025.
