Yan Haoxiang is a member of the boy group TNT, the sibling group of the then-inactive TFBOYS. On stage, he became emotional mid-performance, wiping tears from his eyes. Although it isn’t unusual for idols to become overwhelmed by emotion and their fans’ love at concerts, the timing is notable.
Recently, Yan’s father, Yan Jun, publicly announced that he was disowning his son. His statement mentioned financial hardship, but it also criticized a lack of communication from his children, including Yan. Since he didn’t have any communication with his children during his hardships, Yan Jun claimed he was ending all contact with them.
Yan’s agency, TF Entertainment, released a statement in response, confirmed that his parents had gotten divorced about 17 years ago, but conflicts had arisen recently, putting considerable pressure on Yan, who felt “helpless.”
