15-Year-Old Girl Group Announces Their Disbandment, Final Album

After 15 years together, a seasoned girl group has announced their disbandment, final group appearance, and also their last album release.

TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE is a Japanese idol and vocal group that debuted under the agency Avex in 2010. The group currently has four members: Yamabe Miyu, Arai Hitomi, Nakae Yuri, and Shoji Mei. In 2015, TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE announced that they would no longer be an idol group and would cease idol activities, but they later rebranded as both an idol and artist group and went on to perform at the Tokyo Idol Festival in 2017.

On May 3, TOKYO GIRLS’ STYLE made a surprising announcement during their 15th anniversary event, “Tokyo Girls’ Style 15th Anniversary Live ~Kirari☆~” in Tokyo. After discussing the matter among themselves and their management, they have decided to disband. Their final performance will be at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo on March 31, 2026.

The group will also be releasing a self-titled album on July 30, which will feature their pre-release single, “Dokasen, Flashback.” They performed the song for the first time during their anniversary event.
