Actress’s Dramatic Transformation Ignites Plastic Surgery Rumors

An actress embroiled in plastic surgery rumors is now speaking up about her new look.

Zhang Miao Yi is a Chinese actress best known for her role in the 2023 television series When I Fly Towards You.  She made her TV series debut in the 2021 series Crossroad Bistro, and she made her film debut in The Dream of the Red Chamber last year.

Lately, this rising star has been moving away from the girl-next-door image she had in When I Fly Towards You and embracing bolder styling with more dramatic makeup.

This is a sharp contrast to the fresh, natural makeup Zhang favored at the beginning of her acting career.

During a recent live broadcast, Zhang addressed the plastic surgery rumors that have arisen from her styling changes. She hasn’t undergone plastic surgery, she said, but she has lost weight, which is why her jawline has changed.

Losing baby fat defines my jawline. If people think I had surgery, that just means I look good.
