8 Reasons You Should Be Watching tvN’s Goblin

With its star-studded cast and crew and fantastic plot, tvN‘s Goblin is a drama you can’t afford to miss.

Goblin has seen a lot of attention as it continues to break viewership records. The drama has even gone on to become more popular than mega-hit KBS drama “Descendants of the Sun,” which aired earlier this year.

Here are eight reasons why you need to be watching Goblin.

1.  The Cast

The cast of Goblin has been filled with stars, including Gong Yoo. He starred in the hit movie Train to Busan, which broke Korean box office records earlier this year. Other top names include actor Lee Dong Wook and actress Kim Go Eun.

The cast has already shown they have amazing chemistry on set with their adorable blooper reel.

2. The Production Crew

Not only is the cast star-studded but Goblin‘s writer and director have made a name for themselves in the industry as well. Writer Kim Eun Sook has been the brains behind hit dramas including Descendants of the Sun, Secret Garden, and The Heirs.

The drama’s director, Lee Eung Bok, has also made a name for himself as the director of Descendants of the Sun, Secret Love, and School 2013.

3. The Soundtrack

The drama official soundtrack has been filled with industry and fan favorites, including EXO‘s Chanyeol, Sam Kim, Crush, Eddy Kim, and the indie band 10cm. The wide range of genres in the drama’s soundtrack makes for the perfect album that anyone can enjoy.

4. The Bromance

One of the highlights of the drama is the amazing chemistry between the two male leads. The bickering supernatural roommates develop a love-hate relationship, which leads the drama into comedic antics between the two.

Actors Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo have also been driving fans crazy with their amazing chemistry on set.

5. The Romance

While Goblin‘s bromance may be the fan favorite, the romance is also a huge draw for many viewers. The undeniably tragic love story of the four leads will leave you on the edge of your seat every episode.

6. The Intensity

While the drama doesn’t have explosive action scenes, the drama lends itself to spectacular fantasy action and badass entrances. With its two male leads gaining magical powers in a human world, the stage has been set for some amazing action scenes as the drama continues.

7. The K-pop Cameos

The drama has made hilarious references to K-pop, including references to iKON and I.O.I in one episode. The drama’s main male leads began their search for clues into their past lives and watched K-pop videos for inspiration. This resulted in Gong Yoo adorably dancing to I.O.I‘s “Pick Me.”

Not only does the drama reference K-pop, but it also stars BTOB‘s Sungjae!

8. The Jokes

The drama has shown it isn’t afraid to reference the cast’s previous projects. During a movie date with the two leads, the pair sat down to watch a popular horror film. It’s revealed to the audience that the horror film is titled Train to Busan, which stars Gong Yoo.
