These Are 10 Of The Best-Produced K-Pop Music Videos, Determined By Fans

All of these videos are incredible pieces of art.

K-Pop videos are known to be high-quality, expensive, and fantastically produced, but there are definitely some out there that are better than others! Recently K-Pop fans created a forum to discuss which MVs they think are the best-produced, and they came up with a number of different suggestions, based on the use of settings, editing, visual effects, transitions, etc. Here are 10 of the top picks.

1. “Eternally” by TXT

Not only is this music video nearly 20 minutes long, making it basically a miniature movie, the production of the music video itself is incredible. The theme is quite horror-esque, so it might not be for everyone, but it’s undoubtedly a piece of art with an incredible amount of work and expense behind it.

2. “Starry Night” by MAMAMOO

While it probably wasn’t the most expensive music video on this list to produce, given that most of the scenes are just outdoor shots, the way that they edited the video and the transitions and shooting techniques used made it absolutely stunning and beautiful to watch.

3. “Just Right” by GOT7

The theme, set, and colors used in this music video are unusual for a boy group, and GOT7 was able to create a cute music video that wasn’t overly cringy or awkward thanks to the skillful editing! It’s still known as one of their most iconic comebacks for a reason, which is great considering that if it hadn’t been produced so well, it might have been an awkward or not well-received single.

4. “Sunset” by KNK

This music video is already impressive due to the gorgeous lighting and the techniques used to film, but what makes it even more impressive is that it was created after KNK left their company, YNB Entertainment, and had a relatively small budget.

5. “Singing in the Rain” by Jinsoul

The use of unique colors in this music video is really creative and unusual, as well as how it nicely compliments the use of animals and the choreography in the video.

6. “Why” by ONF

This music video, unlike a lot of K-Pop MVs these days, doesn’t include any choreography, so it makes the entire video seem more like a movie that you can get deeply immersed in. The story in the video itself is also produced incredibly well, and the editing techniques and special effects are fun and unique.

7. “Want” by Taemin

Taemin’s gorgeous dancing is all the more incredible thanks to the lighting, editing, and artistic direction that the producers took while creating this music video. The overall effect is visually stunning!

8. “Spring Day” by BTS

You can tell that the concept of this music video is well thought-out (RM really did his homework for this MV!), and the entire story and the way it’s laid out is simply a masterpiece. Like with other videos on this list, there’s a reason it’s still known as one of BTS’s best!

9. “Dumb Dumb” by Red Velvet

The time it must have taken to create the edits of all the clones is impressive enough on its own, but given how seamless and perfect the music video flows together, the music video truly is a piece of art! Not to mention it started the trend of using white borders around the video, and the use of bright colors in the MV itself are really well done.

10. “Shangri La” by VIXX

The aesthetics of this video are absolutely beautiful, and even though most of it is placed in a sort of box-like setting, the way the producers designed the settings are stunning, and the use of traditional Korean and Chinese clothing, themes, and accessories is wonderfully done.
